Photos can hardly capture natural bioluminescent bacteria, for their glow seems more magnificent than what a camera can reproduce.

After previous nights fondue, these prawns where taken out of the fridge and revealed themselves with a striking new coat.

Foraging on the surface of these prawns were a lawn of bacteria called Pseudomonas Fluorescence that produces a green blue fluorescence.

Invisible in natural light... it reminds us that sometimes you have to be in the dark to see bacteria - we avoided them instinctively, although they probably wouldn't cause us any serious damage.
